Arctic Portal has written Features on specific topics for many years. Last fall was an exception because of busy times, but now the Features have been revised. PAGE21 project launched

A new website has been launched by the EU funded project PAGE21. Arctic Portal is a cooperative partner in this exiting new project about permafrost. Arctic Portal designed, programed and hosts the website, which is indeed inspired by permafrost. Arctic Portal also works on data managment for the project. A team of leading Arctic scientists will explore permafrost in this project and the results will be visible on the website.

Vistey - Biology in Arctic waters

Arctic Portal is proud to introduce its latest project, about biodiversity in Arctic waters. In cooperation with the Fisheries Science Center of the University of Akureyri, Vistey has opened. The website portrays the beautiful nature of underwater Eyjafjörður in Iceland.

Refurbished Fishing Portlet

Arctic Portal has refurbished the Fishing Portlet here on our website. The portlet has been updated and new chapters have been added. Among them is Climate change and Fisheries, Whaling in the Arctic and graphs that shows fisheries in the Arctic. News Shipping Climate Change Energy Fishing

The Arctic News Portlet gives access to the most recent news about the Arctic. The Arctic News Portlet has six catagories containing; Science, Society, Shipping, Politics, Climate change and Resources.

The aim of the Arctic News Portlet is to allow Arctic Portal users to keep up with current events in the Arctic.

In addition to giving an overview of the hot topics regarding Arctic affairs, the Arctic News Portlet directs its users to varius news sources.

The Arctic Portal follows Arctic-related news from around the world and portrays them in the news section. Naturally related news about specific issues are also included.

The portlet is made through RSS feeds which is a welcomed addition to the already powerful news section on the Arctic Portal website.
